God, the Observer Principle.
The uppermost point of the triangle.
Our experience of life, the Mirror Principle. The Observed. The horizontal line of the triangle. +/-
Positive Negative, and Reconciling Force.
In order for things to change and evolve, there has to be a principle that is unchanging, allowing and holding everything within it:
A Catalyst.
"substance which speeds a chemical reaction but itself remains unchanged," 1900, formed in English (on analogy of analyst) from catalysis. Figurative use by 1943.
The root word for catalyst is Cata.
word-forming element meaning "down, downward," but also "through, on, against, concerning," etc., from Latinized form of Greek kata-, before vowels kat-, from kata "down, downward, down from, down to,"
We are this unchanging force, but also the always changing mirror.
For experience to continuously grow and give birth to fresh life, older things must die and be sacrificed.
A Burnt Offering.
There are countless myths and tales of sacrifice in spiritual literature. You cannot separate true spiritual work from the act of sacrifice.
Meet me in the middle.
We bring our divided parts up, and the God Principle “descends from the heavens” to meet us half way. All through time and myth, is the story of A Heavenly Force descending down in moments of crisis. The Catalyst.
This process of unification brings Observer and Observed into a new wholeness. The Observer, recognizes itself within the Observed. A moment of Enlightenment. Transformation.
A moment of heilung, wholeness, healing.
These arrows also forms the Hagalaz Rune:
Hagalaz – “Hag-all-az” – Literally: “Hail” or “Hailstone” – Esoteric: Crisis or Radical Change
End of Part 1
There is no True Change without True Sacrifice.
We are called to change, and as we begin the work… our “other half” “higher self” “God” will come in and complete the work with us.
